SunTracker Software
BCS were commissioned to produce Sun tracking software for a motorised solar water heater test facility in Botswana.
The software communicates via a serial RS-232 link to the rotator controller and tracks the Sun from sunrise to sunset each day as well as supplying positional data to the data acquisition equipment supplied by Will Law and Associates that monitors the efficiency of the solar water panels.
This is an integral part of the world class Solar Thermal Testing Facility at BOTEC.
SunTracker Hardware
The solar thermal panels are rotated by a custom rotator manufactured by Pro.Sis.Tel of Monopoli Italy.
