Braeside Communication Services (established 2003)
Run by David Anderson - an Electronic Communications Engineer who worked for the Marconi Company for 23 years and then Compugraphics as an Electronic Equipment Engineer for 8 years. Both of those establishments used Apple Macintosh computers and that is where his experience was gained in I.T. Systems.
David is also a licensed Radio Amateur - callsign GM4JJJ - well known in the VHF world as one of only a few Scottish stations who have made contacts via Moon Bounce. He has constructed radio equipment for frequencies up to 10GHz.
He ran Pack-Age in a partnership with David Gorrill GM4UJZ during the late 80's and early 90's when they manufactured and sold specialised AX.25 Amateur Packet Radio equipment.
He is a software developer who has written programs since the early 80's on a large variety of systems, from the early Acorn Atom with 1K of RAM to the modern Apple Macintosh with 8GB of RAM!
The hobby of amateur radio and computers now go hand in hand. Many radios and antenna rotators can be computer controlled and he has used his skills to produce software that controls numerous pieces of equipment such as the HP GPS Frequency Standard and also automatic Moon tracking antenna systems.
David's interest in photography has flourished since the advent of Digital Cameras and printers. Art and technology blend in this new era.
